I didn't go get my tablet as I was struck down with a peculiar illness that my father has been suffering with for the past week, and was feeling too horrible to traipse my way into London so I stayed at home and slept. I'm sort of getting better, but its kinda the thing where you feel better and then SUDDENLY IT GETS VERY VERY WORSE. I'm going into London on Thursday to meet up with my friend Hayley who I've not seen since my art foundation, and we're probably gonna go see the new Harry Potter movie 8D I AM APPREHENSIVE ABOUT IT because when I read the book for this one I was actually bored to tears. Let's hope the film is more exciting.

Also, the new Green Day Album is amazing, and SO MUCH BETTER than American Idiot. Ffff. If you like their stuff give it a look, because shit damn I'm so impressed with them. I wish I'd gotten tickets for the tour now, fuckkk. 8( peypea TAKE ME WITH YOU ;A;

So I finally have enough money to even consider buying a new tablet! Hopefully I'm going into London tomorrow and getting it \o\ I want the new Bamboo so bad ;A; the biggest one too. GOD why am I such a Wacom sellout. I've really been finding it hard to cope without a tablet. Its frustrating because I have TWO PERFECTLY GOOD ONES, they just refuse to listen to me SIGH. Hopefully I'll be able to find a cheap scanner too, since I've not had a scanner for like.. a year and a half. 8|a

BUT TODAY! I walked to work with my sister who works in the same place as me on Fridays, and we passed a Charity shop that had a few of the stuff it sells outside the shop? And there, sitting on a fugly couch, was an acoustic guitar, with about two strings. I didn't think anything of it, since I was late for work, and it was only till I was about 2 hours in that I decided that I WANTED THAT GUITAR FOR NO GOOD REASON! So my sister went to get it in her break! The lady at the shop had two guitars she was selling, one without strings and the one I'd seen before. She wanted more money for the one with the two strings apparently, because it HAD TWO STRINGS, but according to Hannah it was in really bad condition. SO she got me the other one.

So now I have an Acoustic guitar, without strings and with slightly rusty tuning peg things for £3 (about $5). Hannah's boyfriend said that he'd be happy to go with me to a guitar shop to get the pegs replaced, and he'll restring it for free (he's in a band and plays lead electric 8D). \o\ SO PURA IS GOING TO LEARN GUITAR. Or try. I've also decided that I'm going to get a absurdly coloured ukulele (I SAW A NEON GREEN ONE LAST TIME I WAS IN THE MUSIC SHOP, I WANTED IT SO HARD) at some point, since they are smaller and easier to learn from I think. But I AM EXCITED. More than I probably should be orz.

SO MUCH FOR TAGS. I spent basically the entire day with peypea instead, and we watched Pokemon movies. Hell yes we are so cool. We also... traded pokemon, bred pokemon... ....caught pokemon... uhm. AND OH YEAH, ATE CUPCAKES AND LOLED AT MY LIMPING.

It's so weird hearing Ash's normal voice after watching so much of the Diamond and Pearl series. SERIOUSLY he sounds like a squeaky toy.

I had fuuun yesterday, and the FREEDOM cupcakes seemed to go down a treat! :D It sucked that I had to leave before the pizza and the terrifyingly bad movie, but whatevvvs! It was fun spending time with the dudes, that was for sure.

One thing that I could've done without was the huge ass blister I got from walking around in bad shoes. Seriously this thing is like the size of a 2p coin (a dollar coin i guess) and it's on the SOLE OF MY FOOT. THE. SOLE. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS POSSIBLE TO GET BLISTERS THERE?? And since I didn't get back till late, I had to walk up a huge hill with it to get home, and since I didn't want to put pressure on it I was basically walking on my tippy toes for about 20 minutes. And when I got home I was so exhausted I just fell into bed and passed out.

I can't actually walk now. YAY!! Like seriously I'm not even kidding. Who knows what I'm going to be doing for work tomorrow since it's sort of a STANDING JOB 8|a


Those shoes are so in the trash now. And my mom has already started calling me Hop-Along. Joy.

They are a new recipe I'm trying - the buttercream too - and though they were kind of a pain in the ass to make since I didn't have buttermilk or pastry flour and had to make them from scratch they are the most amazing cupcakes I've had in forever. a little sickly because its proper buttercream that I had to make using sugar syrup, but oh my god. They aren't as pretty as the ones in my icons though BUT HEY I AM STILL IN TRAINING.

I think I'm going to try making different flavoured cupcakes next time. Or Lemon Bars. I've been dying to make those.

GUYS YOU SHOULD SUGGEST THINGS FOR ME TO MAKE!

I spent the whole day in 90°F+ weather, ironing. The place I work has one or two fans, but they don't do anything really, so its like a sauna in there. I had to stop for 10 minutes because I felt like I was going to pass out @_@ She's hiring a small air con unit, but I have my doubts if it'll make that much of a difference when there are four super hot, super powered irons on the go. WE SHALL SEE.

What the hell England, when did you get so hot?


Also, I still can't quite believe its the last app period EVER at daisychainrpg. If you wanted to app there or anything, I'd do it now because it'll be your last chance! They are open for two weeks, and you can apply for two characters, so it's all good! But of course it does mean the game only have a few months left. I have no idea what I'm going to do when it finishes (apart from maybe set up that X-Men AU game 8D) I think I'm going to app Chase from Runaways at DC but not sure. I sort of need a break from rping I think, so having five characters on the go MIGHT NOT BE WISE PURA.

So since Tuesday I've been doing afternoons at the ironing place. I need the money and its only four hours, and since my mother isn't forcing me into it i'm pretty happy to do it. It goes really quickly since I put my ipod on and jam to epic tunes, whilst the others all gossip (I have no interest in this, like AT ALL) about people.

The machines we iron with are highly pressurized steam chamber things, with an ironing board that sucks the steam down through the fabric of whatever you are ironing, so it makes ironing really fast. The thing with these machines, is that they need refilling every few hours or so with boiling water. So you have turn off the power (so the remaining water stops boiling) and undo the top cap juuust a little, so the BOILING HOT STEAM can depressurize and then you can refill the machine. I'm pretty good at judging when the steam has done its thang and I can undo the cap all the way. Sometimes theres a tiny bit of pressure left, so the cap will pop off in your hands, and fly away, but nothing too major since theres like no steam left.

WELL. Today I was put on a machine with a dodgey cap. It sounds like its empty, but its a lie, and its actually really fucking full. So I was emptying the steam so I could refill it and then go home, and since it sounded done, I undid the cap all the way. My hand was then absolutely covered in boiling hot steam, so now I have burns all around my thumb area, wrist and palm. Apparently the machine has done it 3 times in the last week, so it wasn't my bad judgement, it was actually the machine, but FUCK it hurt so much. I ran it under a cold tap when I got home, but it didn't really help. Typing hurts like a bitch, my hand just feels like its on fire. My dad just went to get me some ice as he just got home and was like D8 I'LL GET YOU SOME ICE BB, STAY THERE.

Oh, I'm going back in tomorrow, since I really need the money, and she really needs the staff. My poor hand has gone through so much this week lmao. not only is it bruised from a previous injury I did early this week but now its burnt too. HOW DO I STILL HAVE IT ATTACHED TO MY BODY?


On the plus side! I got my new pair of glasses today~ They are the same as the old pair, but boy does it feel so good to wear glasses that dont induce headaches. My mom also bought me another pair in a different colour (so i'll have red and blue and a pair thats purple and blue /o/) but they haven't arrived yet.

Man, so me and Squeaky were watching X-men Evo all day, and I just asked her why isn't there an Xavier's Institute style multifandom rp we could join. You know, like an highschool AU you can shove any character into but with superpowers and x-men and codenames and win. I guess it would sort of be like super_powers but.. with everyone being mutants and stuff AND DANGER ROOM AND MISSIONS AND CODENAMES AND MUTANT POLTICS AND EMMA FROST BEING A PRINCIPAL DOUCHE AND SUPER POWERED BASKET BALL AND MUTANT PROMS AND SHIT. It could even be semi-crack with PLOTS too.

Come on, how ace would that be I mean really?

I really want to join something like this! Or start one! But... I fail at plots and admin and modding forever, plus daisychainrpg eats my time.

after a really shitty evening, lagging computers that look like they are actually going to break, arguing parents and shutting off internet, my only pair of glasses just broke. beyond repair. there is no way I can get new ones within at least a month - hell theres no way I can even afford to, and I have nothing else to wear. I have to lean right up to the screen to be able to even read what I'm typing.

Mom bought the house Sky recently (for all you non-britons, its basically cable) and for a while we only had the most basic package since she didn't want to pay extra for channels she wouldn't watch? Cept then me and Hannah complained, and since the music channels and the kids channels were only £2 extra she let us have it. (take a wild guess which one I wanted 8D)

BUT ONE THING IS I wish Cartoon Network didn't play random episodes of TV shows in no particular order. Seriously, I was watching X-Men: Evolution today and I went from Kurt first getting there to the last episode of the season when everything EXPLODED and then back to when Kitty got there. SERIOUSLY GUYS HOW HARD IS IT TO PLAY THEM IN ORDER? I WANT TO WATCH THEM IN ORDER 8( Same goes for Teen Titans, but at least I've watched that series to death so it doesn't matter as much.. seriously I could tell you which season and which EPISODE NUMBER it was oh god

Of course all this watching of X-Men Evo and Teen Titans has not only helped my Beast Boy muse wake up a little, but it has also apparently given me a Evo!Quicksilver muse. I seriously don't need TWO JERK SPEEDSTERS IN MY MUSE SPACE GOOD GOD.

man the world hates me right now.

The first bit of creative juices that I've gotten flowing in literally a month or two and my tablet just dies on me.

It has been acting up for the past couple times i've been using it, and today it just refused to do anything. The light was flashing saying that it was on, but the pen did not register when I touched the tablet. I thought the battery had run out so I changed it, and there was no difference. The wires are sort of frayed where they go into the actual tablet (its an Aiptek Slim 600U) so I figured that its just decided to die on me.

Anyways, now that raeg is off my chest, I do have an old wacom graphire but I think its broken as thats the reason I replaced it with the Aiptek so I'll probably never actually get to draw this picture tonight (and by draw I mean ink and colour on the computer. I actually drew it on paper first). I suppose if I use the money from the manga sales to pay for a new tablet I could get away with getting an A4 wacom bamboo, but I'm not sure since they are like £170. EDIT: Oh wait, the A5 ones are £170. My mistake. *sobs*

Does anyone want to recommend graphic tablets to me? I want an A4 sized one (normal printing paper size) and I'm on a tight budget, but suggestions would be nice.

Some part of me decided it would be a good idea to go through my wardrobe and get rid of clothes I don't wear or need anymore as since I've been at Uni I've bought more, and just generally organize my stuff as theres lots of things that I've just thrown in there and forgotten about.

That part of me needs to die in a fire. I started cleaning it at like.. 4pm today. Its now almost 11pm. And I can't actually sit on my bed because of the mess. WHY DID I START DOING THIS

Fuuuuck 358/2 is out in Japan. Someone posted a video of them playing it on youtube. I watched about 10 seconds of it before I had to close the window ;__;

I'm going to try my hardest not to be spoiled you guys, and for me thats saying something since I usually don't give a shit about spoilers. But when Axel and Roxas are involved, I'd rather be kept in the dark till I can play the game for myself. I'm not going to download emulators either, since I want to play it in English (and I'm pretty sure the emulators don't have translations? though I could be wrong) and stuff.

So, if my flist could be careful about what they post in regard to the game I would be really grateful. It's not that hard to put things under a cut is it, or at least warn people that spoilers follow? I just really don't want to be spoiled 8( I do have a feeling this request will be somewhat redundant because hopefully people are already doing this but you never know

I've been neglecting this for a whileee but I've had a busy couple of days so its to be expected. Lots of things have been happening on and off the internets, and whilst I won't bore you with all of it, I'll tell you the key happenings!

Went to MCM Expo with finalfantasia, silverbrumby123, otilu and squeakyorm AND HAD LOTS OF FUNNNN :D I usually only really go to meet friends since its always hella expensive, and I didn't cosplay this year either, but I got a Boota plushie, a Gurren Lagann poster, a couple of TTGL keychains, a plushie poptart (which is the most adorable thing ever) a free transformers t-shirt and some bottles of ramune which is curious and tastes like sherbert :O I ALSO GOT SOME EXTRA KEYBLADES FOR MY PLAYARTS AAA they are so fucking pretty ;A; I just want to touch them all the time omg. I'll post up some photos of the stash when I'm not hella tired, but I got all that I wanted so I'm extremely happy c: I'm thinking about cosplaying Team Rocket grunts at October Expo, and Kid!Simon from TTGL or Maya from Phoenix Wright. Plan, yes? I felt out of place out of cosplay so I HAVE to do it next expo or else :I

Got a new power cable and adapter plug for the computer as well as an external hard drive since I've been needing one like woah! also thinking about buying more running memory so I can put more computer programs on this thing, but we'll see! It's certainly nice to have my computer back, and the guys who brought me the new cable replaced my motherboard too and cleaned out all the dust. I swear one of the dustballs had a sentience.

Going to Wales tomorrow to pick up my final grades for this year and the rest of my stuff from my dorm room. It's gone so quickly! I mean, it doesn't seem like a year ago that I was getting ready to go to university but it is! I'm going to be a fucking second year. That is kind of terrifying. I hope I did okay in that last essay since I really enjoyed writing it but I know I probably failed overall since my depression during one of the semesters caused me to never hand in a project. I can resubmit it over the summer but :I

I ALSO GOT POKEMON PLATINUM FINALLY. I went into London especially to pick it up on the release day, and I'm training an all Ghost Team. It's fucking difficult, I'll tell you that, since it's irritating when you can't kill a Bidoof because your Ghastly only has Ghost moves, which are ineffective. 8| I am, however, really digging the adorable coats the trainers have to wear and all the snow too :D

Going to London to meet up with squeakyorm today, and then picking up finalfantasia and silverbrumby123 who are staying over at my house for Expo :D can't wait! I've got a really busy weekend ahead of me, oooh boy. Lots of late nights and early starts and walking around London with people who are dressed as dead Itachi, BUT buying Pokemon Platinium today makes it alllll better. |D (it would make it even better if Nintendo were running an event in London so I could get Shaymin, but apparently I'm a month late for that, sobs.)

Also, on reflection I probably shouldn't have stayed up till 3am reading New X-men when I was crying that much (ITS A VERY SAD SERIES ;A;), nor should I have been contemplating with Squeak how Tommy would be the first Young Avenger to die because he's expendable and would probably give his life to save Kate's, because now I fucking exhausted and upset. OH WELL.

I promise I'll start updating with less... boring entries.

So I called Dell this morning, since I ran out of time to do so yesterday, and because they aren't sure if its the actual powercable or the computer thats got the problem, they are sending a man out to replace my motherboard and replace my powercord. For free. I was pretty sure my warranty was used up so this is a major plus for me :D :D But I'm not sure if I want him replacing my motherboard! Will that get rid of all my files? Because I DO NOT WANT.

In other news I finally got round to getting an external harddrive, 250GB one, which I am going to fill up with X-Men Evolution and Teen Titans :D.

ALSO EXPO IS THIS WEEKEND AND I HAVE NO IDEA IF I AM COSPLAYING OR NOT! Probably not because I'm hella lazy and have no money :/ my other two friends will be idk. I'll feel out of place? I could always dig out my old Jiraiya cosplay, but idk if I want to or not. I was also planning on doing Pence from KH2 and Molly in her security outfit from Runaways, but without skills in sewing, lack of time and money, I wont get it done for Friday 8( boo.

At least this will leave me with money to spend on merch if I see anything I want (extra keyblades for my playarts and TTGL posters. But thats about it :|a) BUT IDK. Its always been more about the cosplay and seeing friends than the actual event. (BTW GUYS WHO ARE GOING, HOW THE HELL ARE WE GETTING THERE? The DLR is down! As per fucking usual.
